INSULATED TERMINALS U.S. Terminals Inc. supplies insulated terminals in two different configurations. SLIP-LOCK TEFLON TERMINALS and PRESS-TYPE TEFLON TERMINALS.
Simplest to use, no hole chamfering required, very high reliability used in space, military, and commercial applications
SLIP-LOCK Teflon Insulated Terminals brought an entirely new concept to terminal installation and design. The patented single piece SLIP-LOCK pin-and-teflon bushing units simplify the mounting of your terminals. The terminal locks itself permanently and automatically to your card with simple, flexible pressure. No chamfering of the mounting holes is ever required. Once installed SLIP-LOCK terminals serve with unparalleled reliability. The teflon material used in SLIP-LOCK terminals is virgin electrical grade, and meets the specification requirements of ASTM-D-1710. The normal design temperature range for these terminals is -65°C to +200°C. SLIP-LOCK terminals come standard in white insulators, but are also available in nine different colors for color coding and other quick identification of circuitry and test points. SLIP-LOCK terminals are available in 34 different configurations. Figure 13, straight-wire feedthru is shown below.
U.S. Terminals Inc. maintains a complete line of Press Type Teflon Insulated terminals made to the same rigid quality standards as the exclusive SLIP-LOCK Teflon insulated terminals. Press Type terminals are available in all sizes and styles for direct shipment in any quantities desired. Insulator bushings are made of virgin PTFE "teflon", offering a combination of electrical, mechanical, thermal, and chemical properties ideally suited to the highest quality terminal and connector applications. Brass electrodes and pins are made and plated to the latest exacting military specifications. Normal design temperature range is -65°C to +200°C. These rugged and resilient terminals are immune to mechanical shocks and vibrations. Press Type terminals come standard with white insulators, but are also available in nine different colors for quick color coding. Press Type terminals are manufactured in 43 different configurations.
